Craig Howard Murakami was born in Wailuku, Maui in 1953. He started boarding at Lahainaluna his freshman year of highschool, where he participated in many sports and extracurricular activities. Craig played football and track, and was a sergeant in the dorms. Craig worked in the poultry and the farm, and reflects on the skills and values that he gained while working. He went on to work as an electrician, retiring last year. He has two children, one in Maui and one in O‘ahu, and he currently serves in the Lahainaluna Boarders Association.
