dc.description In this persuasive essay, it is reasoned that preexisting, long-ignored inequities in health and its social determinants are the underlying reasons for COVID-19 related inequities. It also calls for transformational changes (hulihia) in economic, educational, business, and political paradigms and practices to achieve health equity.
