Abstract
Description
Water stable isotope data from rainfall and spring samples collected on the island of O'ahu, Hawai'i, from April 2018 to August 2021. The dataset includes oxygen-18 and hydrogen-2 concentrations in liquid water expressed in delta-notation relative to standard mean ocean water. Samples were collected from 20 bulk precipitation collectors and one high-elevation spring. Bulk precipitation collectors were sampled approximately quarterly. Samples were chemically analyzed at one of two laboratories: the Isotope Biogeochemistry Laboratory at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa or the Stable Isotope Ratio Facility for Environmental Research (SIRFER) at the University of Utah. Funding was provided by the NSF Hawaiʻi EPSCoR Program through the National Science Foundation’s Research Infrastructure Improvement award (RII) Track-1: ‘Ike Wai: Securing Hawaiʻi’s Water Future Award # OIA-1557349. G.T., supported by NSF Grant AGS-1945972, and by the Department of Defense (DoD) Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Service-for-Scholarship program.
