Abstract
Two team leaders from the (former) East-West Population Institute summarise four months of field enquiries about the population, land, and marine resources of South Guadalcanal. Involved in this project were seven masters' students on East-West Center scholarship, a local medical officer, four professional spouses, and about sixty Weather Coast people as interpreters, research assistants, and census enumerators.
