Spring Loaded: a book of fiction
|Title:||Spring Loaded: a book of fiction|
|Issue Date:||15 Jan 2014|
|Publisher:||University of Hawaii at Manoa|
|Abstract:||The rain spits, tears into the earth, lifts rocks and tumbles them from the edges of paths, sends them spinning into the gutter. Palm trees face away from the wind, and bamboo clashes with thunder. For the first time in my life, I am not struggling to survive. I stand against the wall, pushed up under the eaves, knowing clouds will pass, hoping they will stay. One more hour of rain might clear the air.|
