Abstract
Winds in Hawaii consist of the normal northeasterly trade winds and storm winds of greater velocity from various other directions. The publication listed numerous species, either tall upright trees for orchard and shelter belt use, shrubs for closer protection of field crops, or species tolerant of salt and wind for protecting shoreline landscapes. Some of the species included are no longer recommended because of their invasive nature.
