During the process, we encountered various challenges typical of indigenous language education in the United States. These include issues such as the lack of language teaching materials, the existence of multiple dialects and various writing systems, and the lack of teacher training opportunities. This paper describes our attempts at addressing these issues and devising strategies to meet these challenges.29engAttribution-NonCommercial 3.0 United StatesCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 UnportedBlackfoot LanguageLanguage CourseNative American LanguagesLanguage EducationCollaborative Development of Blackfoot Language CoursesArticle
