Cinema is a large part of Telugu culture. The Telugu film industry is known as Tollywood, and innumerable films have been produced in Telugu since the early twentieth century.

A recent movie called Baahubali has been globally popular, and the sequel, Baahubali 2:  The Conclusion will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
