(1) shiru-tui-gwaa-ga           mici-kara     booshi    tu-ti                       iku-tan.

*¹ combining two verbs in a temporal sequence  
*² verb stem + tan = past, imperfective, progressive, sensory evidental mood (sight only)

that  hat        pick.up-and*¹   put.on-and    walk-DUR*²-PST-therefore*³
'he was walking with the hat on his head'

*¹ same as -ti, but more emphasis on the time flow that the proceeding verb/action occurs before the following verb/action, there is a variant form, aani   *² oo = imperfective, durative   *³ tan + gutu = tagutu

(3) kuru-tui-ga             uri    nnz-aani     niaa-ran   ndi           ic-i             warat-oo-tan.
black-bird-NOM   that  see-and*¹   fit-NEG   COMP   say-and*²    laugh-DUR-PST
'a black bird saw him and laughed by saying it doesn't look good on you.'

*¹ the variant form of aai   *² same as -ti, conjugation irregular

'because the white bird got angry, threw the hat away, and left the place'
