Pudonghua

Pudonghua belongs to Wu Chinese
Most people who speak this language are old people.
As a native speaker of Pudonghua, I could speak it very fluently before I moved to Shanghai downtown. Gradually, I lost my ability to speak this language automatically. Now I mostly use it in conversation with my grandma and father. As part of my early memory and a heritage of culture and knowledge, I want to document it for me and for the whole community.
Many thanks to LDC (language documentation center) and my mentor Elizabeth Nielsen
