Brief excerpt from interview: [This course] motivated me a lot... even though I was struggling throughout the whole semester about the concept of home. I thought it would be nice because I would write about it and it would help me get through it.

This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in English at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'In responding to your instructor's writing assignment, what challenges did you face?'
