dc.description | This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Geology & Geophysics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. dc.description.abstract | Brief excerpt from interview: It made me like the Mojave [Desert]... We were out there for a week. [Our instructor] would drive us to the field study. He gave us a topographic map of our study area and a gps. He would drop us off and say go do it... It was an adventure, it was very freeing... I had grown up very close to [Mojave]. I didn't like it just because it was a bunch of dirt and rocks... [My instructor] told me it was going to be a great experience... and it was great. | en_US |
