Abstract
Description
Genre: Oral history. Title: Maju Sawa. Petrus Baga, kampong Oje Diji, tells a story about a border war between people from Poro Ndeo, Nduku, and people from Huma Lue, Nduku, near Uwa. It was not a big war that involved all of the domains, just families from both places. Maju Sawa, Bawa Somba, Sosu Male, Phasa Kasa are some names mentioned in the story that is part of local history. Petrus Baga from the seaside kampong Oje Diji knew many tales, Pidu found out. On this first recording session with Baga, Pidu recorded some six stories, this being the ffth. Recorded 4 July 2015 in the morning in Baga's house by Pidu (Ebbe) using the H4N Zoom directly (his first real recording session himself). Baga was later recorded twice again, telling several tales each time.
