Social media tools and technologies have changed how information is generated and disseminated. In this talk, Joan Pan, CJS graduate assistant and Ph.D. candidate in Geography and Environment, will cover how social media can be important for scholars and be used to engage a wider audience. She will also speak to the particular platforms, such as Twitter and LinkedIn, that many academics commonly use in their scholarly work.
