Abstract
At one time, it really didn't matter which road a person chose; whichever he felt had the "better claim" could be the one of his choice. This was the time when the "American Dream" was a reality, when opportunity lay in several different directions, and when success was promised by varied roads. Today, the American Dream has aged somewhat. People still rise from the very poor to the very rich, but now they usually achieve one prerequisite before deciding on their road to success: education. Education, be it academic, technical, vocational, commercial, occupational, or simply learning to be what you want to become, makes all the difference.
