Description

This is a recording of two women, Suarni and Haeniah at Keron's house.Suarni is a 35 year old woman who was born and grew up in Kampung Bugis, a neighboring village. She is married to a man from Pondok Prasi and moved to Pondok Prasi in 2002. She finished middle school and now works as a female fisherman who processes the catch. Haeniah is 38 years old, born and grew up in east Lombok. She is married to a man from Pondok Prasi and moved to Pondok Prasi in 1999. She finished middle school and works as a female fisherman as well as fish seller at a local market. They are talking about fish prices at the market now and how that influence their job as fish sellers. The recording ends with Khairunnisa collecting metadata from the speakers. Muhammad Jaelani assisted with the recording. Video was recorded on Panasonic HC-V770, audio on Marantz PMD561 with an Audio Technica AT8022 Stereo Microphone.
