Abstract
Description
This project aimed to provide a mobile-friendly alternative to in-person training, enabling younger and less experienced employees, including those on the outer islands, to learn and apply workplace policies at their own pace. The training was designed and developed using EdApp, incorporating microlearning principles, interactive content, and essential workplace procedures to enhance engagement and knowledge retention. Usability testing included feedback from a small group of executives and a younger non-employee, while learning effectiveness and attitudes were measured through pre- and post-tests completed by site coordinators. Results indicated a modest increase in participants’ confidence with workplace procedures, improved policy retention, and a more favorable perception of mobile training. The project effectively addressed key knowledge gaps, with recommendations for future enhancements including integrating gamification, scenario-based exercises, and adaptive learning paths to create more personalized and engaging experiences.
