dc.description.abstract The conductance data on fifteen alkaloid cations have been taken and indications exist that the limiting equivalent conductance is a function of the charge on the cation. In addition, the slopes of the conductance versus the square root of the concentration line seem also to be a function of the charge on the cation. From the data, it is concluded that the determination of the number of basic nitrogen sites in an alkaloid cation is feasible by the method of conductometry.
