dc.description.abstractBrief excerpt from interview: This is my first non-English 100 course, and every single English 100 course that I have taught has been place-based. I can't imagine not taking the opportunity to frame an English 100 course, an introduction to writing at a university level and not taking an opportunity to not place it in Hawaiʻi. I can't imagine doing it, and I don't think I ever will.
