Abstract
Description
Okinawan performing arts have the power to transport people to different memory spaces, but also provide the opportunity for community gatherings. Ukwanshin Kabudan, an Okinawan performing arts and cultural education group based in Honolulu, has harnessed this power in the face of COVID-19 restrictions to provide virtual spaces for multigenerational gatherings and sharing to maintain a sense of community and connection.
