Abstract

Beach erosion is a growing environmental concern in Hawai‘i. This paper is a look at the problem of beach erosion and the public practices that often exacerbate the situation. By looking at how other state programs manage coastlines, and analyzing interviews with local, public coastal management professionals we will attempt to find solutions and suggests plans for ways to save Hawai‘i’s beaches.
