Geographic Location

Dianxi Miao is a dialect group within the Chuanqiandian Cluster of Miao (Hmongic) languages. Spoken in SE and NE Yunnan, W Guizhou, W Guangxi and S Sichuan. In Wuding county Yunnan, only spoken in Maojie, Gaoqiao and Bailu townships. Not intelligible with A-Hmao in the same region, but intelligible with Hmong in Wenshan. Wordlist participant is from Wuding County, Maojie Township, Yongquan Village Administration, Saozhapo Village 武定县永泉村委会扫渣破
