Abstract
Description
Genre: Fable. Title: De'u no'o Méo (Rat and Cat). This recording was done 4 July 2015 in the late morning by Pidu (Ebbe) in Oje Diji by the sea, after he had recorded eight tales with Petrus Baga, using the H4N Zoom, one of his first recording sessions. The little boy Rico tells a fable about rat and cat; the rat had given birth to seven small rat babies, and they went to search for food. The story does not seem complete, but the kids were laughing. With two of his friends/siblings. Not yet fully transcribed and translated. The child uses a few Indonesian words too – language shift in the coastal villages... / SD
