| dc.description.abstract | Brief excerpt from interview: I don't think we should teach anything without . . . a place focus . . . I was trained as an engineer and I didn't know anything about culture, I knew my culture, but when I came here and I met [a person] I suddenly said 'My God, every decision I made was culturally biased, culturally based . . . culture matters in everything we do . . . and that's where place comes in . . . place is a space that is culture, that's why I feel comfortable talking about place. | |
