Description
This is a recording of three women, Yuli, Murni, and Maulida at Yuli's house in the village of Pondok Prasi. Yuli is a 23 year old girl who was born and raised in Pondok Prasi. She went to a medical college. Murni is a 41 year old woman, formerly married to a noble man in the village. She was also born and raised in Pondok Prasi. Maulida is a 26 year old woman who is married to a man from Kediri, western Lombok. She went to college. She was born and raised in Pondok Prasi but recently moved to westen Lombok. However, she still spends most of her time in Pondok Prasi at her parents' house. The three speakers are actually cousins who are also intimate friends. Three of them are having conversasion in Sasak talking about the festival of the birth of the prophet Muhammad, neighborhood, Maulida's having toothache, and their existence of being Sasak women. The recording ends with Khairunnisa collecting metadata from the speakers. Herjan assisted with the recording. Video recorded on Canon VIXIA HFG40, audio on Marantz PMD561 with an Audio Technica AT8022 Stereo Microphone.
