Description

Leif Andersen was born in Waialua and he is proud of his Norwegian heritage. He speaks of living on the Anahulu river and how the community valued it as a source of sustenance. He recalls surfing stories at Haleʻiwa beach park and at Waimea Bay in the 1960s and 70s and how the Vietnam draft led to his career in the Hawaiʻi National Guard.
