Tim shows how effective steps for learning to juggle often parallel steps for learning foreign languages, or, indeed, learning anything. Academic theories of language learning (Krashen, Vygotsky, and others) can be made more concrete with experiential information. When language learners learn to juggle, it can facilitate beliefs and attitudes that support learning and help them become more meta-cognitive.
