Abstract

Brief excerpt from interview: This project actually ended up being the building block to success at this university for me. The project inspired me to continue in sustainability issues and I ended up interning at the Sierra Club for the summer and that internship turned into a passion to make a bigger difference and I ended up taking the LSAT and ended up being accepted into law school to study in the environmental program. It was a successful proposal, it has promise to be success for Hawaiʻi's future and then my career in academia and professionally so for me there couldn't have been more success.

This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in a sophomore honors seminar at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'What elements of your writing performances would you identify as strong or successful, and why? What defines success for you? What do you think determines success for this instructor?'
