This item includes a segment of an instructor interview in a Writing Intensive course in American Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'How do you view the results of your course design(s)?'
Brief excerpt from interview: I wanted to update some of the reading material because there are always new things coming out in indigenous studies and I wanted us to be able to talk about things that are happening around us... A text that I adopted for the class was Value of Hawaiʻi 2... It's a great way for students to see writing that is a lot more accessible and also to see really good models of what you do as a person in a particular place.
