dc.description | Genre: Medicine/huru. Anastasia Roja, kampong Wolondopho, Edo (Hedho) domain was recorded the first time by Pidu Sophune (Ebbe) 13 Oct 2015, from late morning until mid-afternoon. Unfortunately the AT Lavelier mic was used, which produced decent results (sound quality) but not great. She told several tales and 'huru'. This is 'huru lo' or 'huru lo wetho' huru intestines falling out ('lo' = 'nggula' ?). It is quite expensive to cure, the 'peju' is "one", meaning one million IDR. She uses thorn from damar tree stem, (and 'hule kera' leaf, disclosed 21 Oct)) chewed with areca nut, piper betel and lime and then applied to the backbone of the victim/patient, who is massaged with the chew. Family members were around; Mina, Mas, Misone, Bae (Mina's child). Portrait, pictures. See also the file from 21 Oct - 15, also 'huru lo wetho' – it was recorded twice, some extra info. | |
