Genre: Myth. Title: Weta Naja (Siblings ['female and male']). Grandmother Lucia Ngole, kampong Ndeo, tells a myth; a short version of similar tales. Two poor siblings ('weta naja, later we are told their names, Toji and Léso, hence the title of this tale could also be Toji and Léso) reach the sky (world) through a betel tree near the ritual centre. They disappear. The prayer with Toji and Léso, the title of another myth (told by Punga Harine), is also mentioned, as if the two were them. In another tale told by Punga Hari, 'Wunu and Noa' also go to the sky with the aid of the betel tree, so we may also conclude that the two siblings here are Wunu and Noa. This story, and five other narratives, were recorded by SD early afternoon 16 June 2015 with the AT2020 mic in Lusia's home, downstairs in a semi-basement, with Hilarius Ratu listening. Like Lanu, kampong Tomu, she tells about Toji and Léso, who in Punga Hari's, we thought more authoritative account (maybe it is not, just different versions), were a couple that went missing on the mountain after a ritual dance; Toji drowned in a pond. Later Toji and Léso became invoked in prayers for rain. In Ngole's and Lanu's version they are siblings and take a ride up in the sky with the aid of a betel tree. Because they stayed in the heavens, people later invoked them ('ci cawo') in prayers for rain.
