Taking A Closer Look at AI

Abstract

As AI rapidly proliferates, and is doing so with almost no regulation or oversight, it is imperative that information professionals approach AI critically. Our poster will focus on what AI can do, what it cannot do, and some of the real-world consequences of its use. We hope that our poster will start a critical conversation about the use of AI in our libraries, schools and communities, as well as uplift the value and necessity of local expertise.
