dc.descriptionKorean Sign Language was virtually unknown to linguists 20 years ago but recently the Korean Deaf community, energized by and in collaboration with sign language linguists, has emerged on the international stage. All is not rosy, however, and the presentation discusses revitalization and maintenance challenges faced by signing Deaf communities in Korea and around the world.
