Abstract
! brief history of factor analysis is, given. The rotational resolution problem is presented and the limitations of simple structure, the criterion for most rotations are discussed. The confactor model is applied to a variety of orthogonal plasmodes with and without error and results in excellent solutions. It is then applied to oblique plasmodes and works well when obliquities are similar. Attempts are made to apply the confactor model to real base factoring and to higher order factoring meeting with limited success. Finally the confactor model is applied to a real data experiment with premising results compared to conventional analyses.
