| dc.description | Genre: Medicine/huru. Maria Pue was recorded 8 July 2015 outside of her home in the morning by Pidu (Ebbe) using the H4N Zoom, one of his first recording sessions. She told about 'huru tithi', a kind of prohibition to pick fruits from trees, and the cure with areca and betel – sirih pinang. Symptoms of 'huru tithi' are vomiting and diarrhea. Materials: 'tithi' (plant), 'roka hujene' (burned coconut or lontar branch), 'si'i kokone' (rolled long grass), which is rolled or moved around in circles on the belly. The chewed mixture is put gently on the stomach. | |
