Abstract
As the demand to meet the needs of the non-traditional student increases, institutions need to adopt tools that leverage the technical knowledge of existing faculty with the ability to create curriculum that is interesting and applicable to an active learning model. Multimedia tools that don’t require specialized knowledge can have substantial returns in terms of student interaction and retention – as long as they are used to enhance, not replace, what is currently used in the classroom. Features for one such product are highlighted, along with suggestions for where it can best assist current pedagogical methods.
