Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the variation of gouty incidence and serum uric acid levels among the different racial groups of Hawaii. It is known that gout and excessively high increases in the serum uric acid levels are commonly associated with one another. Further, it has been shown that the prevalence of gout varies widely among the different racial groups.
