Abstract

This 2025 white paper examines how Indigenous agency and abundance can be actualized, protected, and expanded within information institutions. It utilizes the perspectives and professional experiences of the International Indigenous Librarians' Forum (IILF) Hawaiʻi delegates, representing more than 40 Indigenous communities worldwide. This report underscores the critical need for libraries to recognize and respond to the unique challenges Indigenous communities face in relation to information access, representation, and preservation.
