Marketing Hawaiian Fruits

Abstract

The Hawaii Experiment Station has undertaken experiments to determine what fruits can be successfully shipped and further to investigate methods of packing and shipment. The experiments also serve to introduce new kinds of fruit in the markets. Experiments have been conducted in a small way for several years, which led to the shipment of several tons of fruit in charge of the Horticulturist of the Station. This shipment was made in August, 1906. The plan and results of the experiments are noted herein.
