dc.description.abstractThe WTO defines sustainable tourism as that which meets the needs of present tourists and host regions while protecting and enhancing opportunities for the future of the tourism sector. Hawaii's tourism components (urban, coastal, nature-based, and eco-) are discussed. Systems for evaluating sustainability of tourism are described.
