| dc.description | Genre: Medicine/huru. Bhaso Nonane, kampong Welu tethu, Uwa, tells how he cures the symptoms caused by his three 'huru', that are all similar to each other. All three are hung in fruit trees as signs, charged with curses, that protect them (also by scaring people). Symptoms: 'Wa mere'. headache, dizzyness. The ingredients in the cure mentioned: "root things" – different roots. Dig up 'tina' once, seven small gingers. The roots are chewed with areca nut, piper betel and lime and then spit/put on the head of the afflicted person.
