Abstract

Description

Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Museum Institute (NHPIMI) provided professional development to 20 Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders working in museums and cultural heritage centers in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific. Presented by the University of Hawaiʻi and the East-West Center, and in partnership with the Pacific Islands Museums Association (PIMA), the institute focused on the following areas: collections care, conservation, and exhibitions. Learn how this amazing opportunity benefits librarians like myself and others.
