Brief excerpt from interview: [The course] was very self-directed. In the classroom, there were about 30 students, from multiple majors, because Animal Science has to do their capstone with Food Science and Human Nutrition. We met once a week and it was for an hour and fifteen minutes, so ... the whole purpose of the in-class meetings was to catch up on what everybody was doing... Outside of the class, it was different for everybody...

This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Food Sciences, Health, and Nutrition at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
