ABOUT ME AND MY LANGUAGE

I am Elsje Pauline Manginsela, you can call me Paula.  My husband is Rustijono, my daughter is Grasia and my son is Imanuel.  I am studying Urban and Regional Planning at University of Hawaii at Manoa.  I am interested in documenting my Manadonese language for two reasons.  First, my son Imanuel asked me about meanings of two Malay Manado words on the phone when I talked with him.  At that time I realized I have to be more active in preserving my Manadonese Language. Second, I met James who was looking for participants for then Language Document Center (LDC).  My need and LDC needs are similar.  Thank you to all the staff who work and help me in this activity especially Lisa.  I  really enjoy learning new skills, new knowledge and making new friends.
