Applications For New Korea-U.S. Journalists' Exchange Due April 15

HONOLULU (April 1) -- The East-West Center is accepting applications from U.S. journalists for its new Korea-U.S. Journalists' Exchange.

Co-sponsored by the Korea Press Foundation in Seoul, the program offers opportunities for six Korean journalists to visit the United States and for six U.S. journalists to visit Korea.

The program will take place July 20 to Aug. 3. Korean participants will visit New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. American participants will visit Seoul, plus two additional cities in South Korea. Following these study tours, all 12 journalists will meet at the East-West Center in Honolulu to report on their experiences and to exchange opinions on how coverage of each country may be improved in the other.
