|Abstract:||This article will explore the manner in which society has distilled Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to his simplest, most palatable essence and will address the more challenging question: why? I hypothesize that we have ignored Dr. King's more radical messages because we want to preserve current societal class positioning.|
