Abstract:Green Infrastructure (GI) can improve infiltration and reduce stormwater runoff by catching the rain gathered from rooftop surfaces and open spaces. Through analyzing satellite imagery and creating cost and volume reduction calculations, we gathered potential sites in Wailupe to create a database and evaluate GI implementation.
Description:This database was created for Malama Maunalua as a way to collect and calculate information about the implementation of green infrastructure (GI) within the Maunalua Bay watersheds. It has been tailored to sites within the Wailupe watershed, but can be expanded for other areas as well.
