Description:A retired professor at UH Manoa gives details of his experiences when he first started working at UH Manoa seeing which presidents were more favorable upon agriculture, changes in funding for agriculture at UH Manoa, his research with orchids and the changes of the UH campus from the time he had been a student. He also talks about how the East-West Center boosted student enrollment in the college of Agriculture and the direction, or future endeavors he thinks that horticulture at UH Manoa will be going towards.
