|Description:||LK opens the show and introduces the members of Hui Aloha ʻĀina Tuahine. Student portion - members of the Hui Aloha ʻĀina Tuahine tell a story “maile hālau” about the false maile. IP is introduced. Her birth on Oʻahu. Her parents. She talks about Kalapana, Hawaiʻi. She went to school in Hilo. LK and IP talk about fishing and raising fish. Making a koʻa, a shrine, for fish. IP completed school in Hilo and returned to Oʻahu. She talks about her residence in Hilo. The importance of religion. LK talks about the song, “E Nihi Ka Hele” by Kapiʻolani. They talk about how faith helps plants grow and fish to be plentiful. Important to be aware of natural signs - the moon, etc. If someone was going fishing, you didnʻt ask, “Where are you going?” LK and IP talk about the home of Keʻelikōlani; a school for people who were better off.
