Description:Our paper studies the use of the Maguindanaon language in texting. This community in Mindanao Philippines is highly multilingual. Our research investigates the language choices of multilingual Maguindanoans when they text with each other. Findings show that the familial bond is the strongest factor conditioning the use of Maguindanoan texting. (session 3.1.4)
